Birfday
So, yesterday was my birthday, and, as with birthdays past, I shall highlight some of the glorious booty:
- Subscriptions to both Allure, and US Weekly from my sister, Tina, who explained that she would have gone for the People subscription, were it not "wicked expensive, dude." No matter. My sister kicks nine kinds of ass.
- My mother-in-law got me the Bauhaus - Gotham DVD, which I promptly ripped from its shrinkwrap and watched, squealing like a leeetle gurrrrrrl.
Bauhaus. Guuhhhh....slobber....shmekMy mother-in-law kicks nine kinds of ass.
- Okay, THEN? My parents got me the entire V series on DVD. Now, Tina and I were utterly, utterly obsessed with this show in its heyday, and my mother encouraged this. She, being a former history teacher, tried to explain how this show was a sci-fi treatment of the Nazi invasion, and while Tina and I did see it as a morality tale of sorts, we were far more interested in its lesser message: don't be a slutty Visitor Sympathizer and engage in tawdry, teenaged sex with one of 'em, lest ye be delivered of a HIDEOUS, MUTANT LIZARD BABY!
GRA!My parents kick nine kinds of ass.
I also got a nice birthday thread on the ol' Noise Board (my online home away from home), which made me feel like a Cool Kid, able to sit wherever I wanted to in the cafeteria, in an odd way.
Good times, chickens. Good, good times.
